My bottles were broken, what should I do?

We're sorry to hear that your bottles were broken during shipping. This is, of course, frustrating and unfortunate. Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

Safety first: Make sure not to cut yourself on the shards. Glass breakage can be dangerous, so handle the broken bottles with care. It's a good idea to wear gloves when disposing of the shards.

Photograph the damage: Take a clear picture of the broken bottles to document the damage. The picture will assist our shop team in better understanding the problem and responding appropriately.

Send an email to the shop: Send an email to shop@noam.beer and provide your order number. Attach the picture of the damage to the email and describe the number of broken bottles.

Wait for a response: Our shop team will process your email and get in touch with you to discuss the next steps. We will likely offer a solution, whether it's a replacement for the broken bottles or a refund.

Check the intact bottles: Before consuming the remaining bottles, thoroughly inspect them for possible glass shards. If in doubt, it's best to dispose of them as a precaution.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, you can also have your package shipped abroad. It's possible to choose a delivery address that differs from the billing address, allowing you to send your order to an address outside your country of residence.

Can I have the beer delivered to a parcel shop or parcel station?

Currently, it is not possible to have the beer delivered directly to a parcel station or parcel shop. You must provide a delivery address where the delivery can be made in person. It is advisable to provide an address where you can be reached during the delivery time to ensure that you can personally receive the package.

If you have difficulty finding a suitable delivery address or have special requests regarding delivery, you can contact our shop team.

Can I also request express delivery?

Yes, it is possible to request express delivery, but under certain conditions. Currently, express delivery is only available for an additional fee and for larger orders, typically around 240 bottles or more. This means that there may be extra costs for a faster delivery.

Are there options to package NOAM Premium Lager Beer as a gift or add personalized messages?

Currently, we are unable to gift-wrap your beer or add personalized greeting cards. However, if you still wish to send NOAM Beer as a gift, we recommend providing the recipient's delivery address and informing them that a gift is on the way. You could also consider sending a separate greeting card or a personal message via mail or email to express your wishes. Do you have a return policy in case a customer is not satisfied with the beer?

Is the beer vegan?

According to the German Beer Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot), German beer is considered vegan. Vegans in Germany can enjoy domestic beer with peace of mind, as it contains no animal-derived ingredients. The reason for this is the Beer Purity Law, which dictates that beer can only be brewed using water, hops, malt, and yeast. Therefore, vegans can safely enjoy our NOAM Premium Lager Beer since it does not contain any animal ingredients. However, please note that our labels are not officially certified as vegan, and NOAM is not officially certified as vegan.

Is the beer kosher?

Yes, our beer is kosher and has been certified by a rabbi.

How should the beer be stored?

The beer should be stored in a cool and dry place to maintain its quality. We recommend protecting it from significant temperature fluctuations, as they could affect the beer. Although short-term temperature increases are harmless, it's still advisable to avoid extreme temperature swings. If there are significant temperature differences, the beer's cloudiness may increase, but this does not impact the quality or taste of the beer. To ensure that you can enjoy your NOAM in the best condition, store it in a cool and dry place and protect it from direct sunlight.

Isn't a transparent bottle harmful to the beer?

A transparent bottle can potentially harm beer when exposed to direct light, especially ultraviolet (UV) light. UV light can alter compounds in the beer and lead to an undesirable flavor change, known as "lightstruck" or "skunky" flavor.

However, with regards to NOAM, the beer is protected from UV and light damage throughout the entire supply chain. The cartons in which the bottles are packaged have been specifically designed for the bottles, ensuring that no light damage can occur. As long as the beer is not exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, the use of transparent bottles is not an issue and does not affect the quality or taste of the beer.

So, it's important to shield the beer from excessive sunlight to maintain its quality. Thanks to the special packaging of NOAM, you can enjoy your beer without concerns about light damage.

A cloudy rim forms at the bottom of my bottle, is this harmful?

The presence of a cloudy residue at the bottom of your bottle is entirely normal and nothing to be concerned about. NOAM is unfiltered, and therefore intentionally gently blurred. The sediment you notice at the bottle's bottom consists of residual beer yeast and proteins. Depending on the maturity, the color of the sediment may change from white to beige.

This sediment is actually a quality feature, indicating that the beer is natural and unfiltered. It also contains some useful nutrients. It is entirely safe to leave the sediment in the bottle. However, you can choose whether to gently swirl the sediment before enjoying the beer or leave it in the bottle. It does not affect the quality or taste of the beer but is simply a matter of individual preference for how you like to enjoy your beer.

What do I do with the empty bottles?

You can return your empty bottles to us using our cartons. To do so, please send a message to our shop team, and we will provide you with a return label that you can use for the return. We recommend using our NOAM cartons for the return, as they offer the best protection for the bottles against breakage.

If you have no means of returning the bottles, please dispose of them in the appropriate glass recycling containers, sorted by type. We appreciate your support in environmentally-friendly handling of our packaging and bottles. If you have any questions about the return or disposal, don't hesitate to contact our shop team. Where does the name NOAM come from?

The name NOAM has two meanings. On one hand, NOAM is derived from Hebrew and can be loosely translated to mean "beauty" and "kindness." This reflects the sociability and the full-bodied yet refreshing taste of our beer.

On the other hand, NOAM is also a combination of the first three letters of our founder's name, Noah, and the letter "M" for Munich. Noah hails from Munich and wanted to create a brand that represents parts of his name while also symbolizing his origin in Munich. This gave rise to the name NOAM, which reflects the personal connection of our founder to the brand.

Why Bavaria Berlin?

Why Bavaria Berlin? We aim to change the perception of beer and create a unique connection. To achieve this, we have combined the best of two worlds: traditional Bavaria and cosmopolitan Berlin.

We brew our beer in Bavaria, the heart of German beer culture. It's a Munich-style lager, reflecting the time-honored brewing art of this region. Simultaneously, our design, social media presence, and marketing come from Berlin, a vibrant and pulsating metropolis known for its creativity and openness.

Lager Born in Munich is featured on our label because NOAM is a German beer brewed for the world. In an international context, the term 'Helles' is less common, which is why we decided to label the beer as 'Lager,' as it is globally recognized and understood.

The beer is indeed a Munich beer and was developed at the Research Brewery of TUM (Technical University of Munich) in Weihenstephan. The Munich region is known for its rich beer culture and high-quality brewing craftsmanship. Lager Born in Munich embodies the high quality and craftsmanship for which Munich breweries are renowned.
